College Football Coach's Legendary Entrance After Suspension is Going Viral

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz made one of the best entrances onto the field we've ever seen from a college football head coach on Saturday.

Ferentz was suspended for Iowa's Week 1 matchup against Illinois State. His suspension was due to a recruiting violation from 2022 when the Hawkeyes contacted current starting quarterback Cade McNamara before he entered the transfer portal.

Assistant head coach Seth Wallace served as the interim boss in Ferentz's absence. He would lead the Hawkeyes to a 40-0 victory, helping the program score 30 points in a half for the first time since 2021.

Fast-forward a week. Ferentz returned and joined his team on the field for their rivalry game against Iowa State.

His entrance onto the field was a sight to behold. Blaring from the speakers was "Many Men," the song well-known for, as one would say, 'Can't holding someone down.'

Ferentz's return to the sidelines resembles a joke that the NCAA cannot hold him back from coaching.

Ferentz has been the head coach at Iowa since 1999. During that time, he's taken the Hawkeyes to three New Year's Six bowl games and has accumulated a total of 197 wins and 119 losses.

After winning 10 games last season, but struggling heavily on offense, Ferentz hired Tim Lester as his new offensive coordinator ahead of 2024.

Iowa's 2024 schedule is full of opportunity. It will host Troy next week following their game this Saturday, September 7, against Iowa State.

The Hawkeyes will then play only one team ranked in the AP Top 25 the rest of the way: No. 2 Ohio State.

Waste of a recruit and suspension.

Ferentz should have been fired after the 2003 Orange Bowl.
