UCLA wide receiver Rico Flores Jr. has finally made his debut in EA Sports' "College Football '25" after being left off the initial roster. His absence was due to a late transfer from Notre Dame, which the game's developers have since acknowledged.

“Finally,” Flores told Ben Bolch of The Los Angeles Times . “Long time coming.”

Despite being added to the game, Flores expressed disappointment with his player rating. He feels he still has room for improvement, which he aims to demonstrate on the field.

“I wouldn’t say I’ve arrived yet,” Flores said. “I’ve still got a lot of work to do.”

In the Bruins' season opener against Hawaii, Flores showcased his skills by catching a 39-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ethan Garbers, helping to narrow the score gap.

“I posted and took it over the top,” Flores said, “and the rest is history.”

His confidence in making that play was evident as he successfully evaded the cornerback.

Flores isn't the only Bruin feeling let down by their ratings. Teammate Titus Mokiao-Atimalala also received a rating that some believe doesn't reflect his potential, especially after a strong performance in 2022.

“I get it, he didn’t play last year,” Logan Loya said of Mokiao-Atimalala, who sat out last season, “but his rating should be way higher.”

As UCLA transitions to a pro-style offense under new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, the wide receiver group is expected to have more opportunities to shine.

The Bruins are looking to regroup during their bye week before facing Indiana, aiming to turn around a rocky start to their first season in the Big Ten Conference.
