Kyle McCord Was the Talk of College Football After Syracuses's Huge Upset Win

The Syracuse Orange pulled off the upset over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with an impressive 31-28 win. Although there was a scare in the fourth quarter, the Orange was able to hold on and secure the win.

Starting quarterback, Kyle McCord became the talk of town with another massive performance for the Orange. He lit up Georgia Tech's defense throwing for 381 yards and four touchdowns.

College football fans couldn't help but fall in love with McCord on Saturday. Not only was he throwing dimes all over the field but his intensity caught plenty of attention as well.

McCord went viral mid-game after he was caught on video pumping up his teammates. He allegedly called Georgia Tech a "sorry" team. The Georgia Tech fan who shared the video quickly realized that McCord did in fact "keep that energy," in the comments of his post.

"They are f***ing sorry as f***."

His efficient play caused quite the stir on social media. Ranging from fans to sports analyst, the Syracuse quarterback has seemingly won everyone over.

Popular college football analyst, David Pollack stated , "Kyle McCord is freaking ballin!!!!!!!!!!! Decisive! Attacking the whole field. Poised. I mean dude looks like a new man. Fran Brown with quote of the week 'I [should] send Ryan Day a bottle of champagne for allowing us to get him.'"

"Kyle McCord has been on an 'Allow me to reintroduce myself' tour. MY GAWD. 735 passing yards 8 TDs through the first 2 weeks of the season," exclaimed Robert Griffin III .

Barstool Sport's "Unnecessary Roughness" claimed, "This is the year. Kyle McCord has improved so much under this new offense. He's focused. He's having fun. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a dark horse for the Heisman."

"You guys told me Kyle McCord was only good cause he was at Ohio state lmfao this dude is PREPOSTEROUS," said one Syracuse fan .

Another college football fan said , "I have Cuse in the playoffs."

McCord has looked phenomenal to start this season. He's already proven to be a stud quarterback through two games after transferring from Ohio State this offseason. Syracuse very well could have landed the biggest steal through the transfer portal if McCord keeps playing like this .

The Orange move on with a 2-0 record heading into a bye week. After a short break, Syracuse returns to action on Friday, September 30 in a matchup against the Stanford Cardinal.

Look for McCord to continue his high level of play as he attempts to lead the Orange to a successful season. Syracuse has not won a bowl game since 2018. So, this is a great glimpse into what could be a special season for McCord and this program.
