A baby's laugh is one of the most infectious sounds in the world. It truly can make any bad day better. One Bernese Mountain Dog figured this out after a quick hop on the couch led to a baby's laughter. Then, she took it upon herself to do whatever was necessary to keep it going.

The recent video shows the gentle giant hopping on and off the couch and it's giving the baby quite a hilarious show. Get ready for the most adorable interaction!

In the 18-second clip of pure joy, the sweet pup hops up on the couch to sit next to her brother. He instantly erupts in laughter while the Bernese wags her tail with pride.

When Mom jumps in to shield the big girl from the baby (because she's so big!), she jumps down and attempts to get closer to the baby. again, Mom is standing by for safety! It doesn't keep the pup gone for long and through it all, the baby giggles as if it's the funniest thing in the world!

More than 13,500 people have liked this video, and it's clear why. It's a definite mood-booster, and many agree this is the duo we didn't know we needed.

"Baby Belly Laughs cure the soul!" one person wrote. "They are going to be best buds," another said. "Little baby loves the dog. Love his giggles," another added.

These two are destined to be lifelong friends, laughing all along the way!

Bernese Mountain Dogs Are Gentle With Children

The Bernese Mountain Dog is among the most majestic, regal of dogs. But what makes them really spectacular is their sweet temperament. Bred as a woking dog and built for cold weather, you'd think these pups would be more of a rough and tumble kind of dog. Instead, they're as gentle as they are sweet, and as loyal as they are lovable and affectionate making them an amazing addition to families with children.

The American Kennel Club explains Bernese pups have such a family-oriented disposition, they might decide to watch over the children of the house as if it's their job. The only issue is their size, as they can unintentionally use their brawn when simply existing. But just like the mom in the video, all is well as long as interactions with small kids is supervised because "Berners" mean no harm—they just want to love and protect their people.
