The Dallas Cowboys are the most polarizing team in the NFL, and Kevin Durant has made it clear where he stands on them. Durant, a Washington Commanders fan, recently appeared on Up and Adams, where he was asked to name the one NFL team he'd get rid of, and he chose the Cowboys.

"Cowboys easy... I just don't like them, I just don't," Durant said. "I had to ask myself why I don't like the Cowboys. I don't hate any teams or any players. I'm a huge fan of a lot of teams but the Cowboys is that one team I just don't like.

"I think it's because a lot of people where I'm from in D.C. have become Cowboys fans," Durant continued. "It's probably like 75% of people in Washington, D.C. in my group of people, that are Cowboys fans and I just hate that they don't stay loyal to the crib."

People who hail from D.C. and didn't turn into Cowboys fans, like Durant, are certainly expected to dislike the team. The rivalry between the Commanders (formerly known as the Redskins) and the Cowboys is one of the greatest in NBA history and there's a lot of bad blood between the fanbases.

That said, even if Durant didn't have ties with the area, the Cowboys probably would have been the team he would have gotten rid of. They have the biggest fanbase but are also easily the most hated team in the NFL due to a variety of reasons like their owner Jerry Jones, the players, and the fanbase.

Like the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, the Cowboys are the most covered team in the NFL, which adds to the hate, but there is one significant difference between the two. The Lakers have actually had success recently, winning six titles in this century while the Cowboys last made the Superbowl back in 1996. The media coverage despite the lack of success makes them very easy to dislike.

Getting back to Durant and the Commanders, he had previously expressed a desire to be more than just a fan. Back in 2022, Durant expressed an interest in being part of the Commanders' new ownership group , but it doesn't appear as if things worked out the way he wanted.

Kevin Durant Thinks He Would Make A Better NFL Tight End Than Draymond Green

There has been a lot of talk recently about whether NBA players would do well in the NFL and vice-versa. While Durant is one of the greatest basketball players we've seen, you'd think he might be one of those who'd struggle a fair bit in the NFL because of his slender frame, but he reckons he'd do far better than one of his former teammates. Durant thinks he would be a better NFL tight end than Draymond Green.

"Me. You seen Draymond's footage? It looks terrible. Draymond played one spring game with Michigan State. I guess he was talking trash to all the players so they told him to come out for the spring game. And he looked horrible."

"I can get down, I played guard in the NBA. So I can get down a little lower than you think."

Durant could be a great red-zone target, but I think he would struggle at everything else when it comes to playing at tight end. The Phoenix Suns superstar is listed at 6'11" and weighs 240 pounds but that slender frame just isn't ideal for playing any position in the NFL.
