UPDATE: Suspect in NOPD officer-involved shooting arrested

New Orleans police say they have arrested a man who was involved in a shootout with a New Orleans police officer late Saturday night in Mid-City.

According to the NOPD's major offense log, Justin Martin, 28, was involved in a domestic disturbance at a home on Bienville Street near North Lopez to which officers were called. The MOL says Martin failed to obey officers when they ordered him to put down his gun. Shortly afterward, shots were fired, leaving Martin wounded.

The NOPD spokesperson says more details will be released pending the investigation.
