Target Is Selling a 'Classy' $35 Striped Cardigan Similar to J. Crew and REVOLVE Styles up to Nearly 6x the Price

Sweater weather is almost upon us. Even if it’s still a little too hot for tons of cardigans and sweaters , that doesn’t mean retailers are stalling their cozy clothing rollouts. And with all the sweater talk, Target’s classy striped cardigan is top of our fall clothing list. Plus it looks just like J. Crew and REVOLVE styles that are up to nearly six times the price.

Target’s Women's Lady Cardigan by their brand A New Day is currently $35 and screams “classy Hampton” and “rich mom” vibes. Maybe it’s the stripes but something feels slightly nautical about it too. It’s marketed as a “transitional long-sleeve cardigan” for these summer-to-fall weather days. It’s a knit crewneck cardigan that’s cropped (but on the longer side) and has a ribbed hem along with gold buttons down the front.

Women's Lady Cardigan - A New Day , $35 at Target

The Lady Cardigan comes in four colors: red striped, black striped, cream and navy (and both striped patterns have white stripes). It also has two pockets on the front and is made with a “heavyweight fabric blend” of 80% recycled polyester and 20% nylon. And with 57 reviews and a 5-star rating, it’s obvious that people like this cardigan. One person wrote that it’s a “great value" and mentioned that they already own two colors.

“It's soft, stylish and even the buttons look expensive,” they wrote. “Highly recommended!"

Another person wrote that it was a "super soft transitional piece for fall" and one shopper said it was a “classy sweater.”

"Really impressed with this sweater!” they wrote. “Quality is lovely and it fit me perfectly. Excited to freshen up my wardrobe! I'm a bit nervous about how it will hold up in the wash as the fabric is very soft and delicate."

Yet another person said that it "instantly elevates your outfit” and it’s something they’ve worn to work “with slacks” and on the “weekend with jeans.”

Emilie Sweater Lady Jacket in Stripe , $64.99 (originally $138) at J. Crew

As we mentioned before, this Target cardigan is very similar to other styles out there, like J. Crew’s Emilie Sweater Lady Jacket in Stripe , which is currently on sale for $64.99 (it was originally $138). It only comes in Ivory Navy, which has thicker white stripes than Target’s, but the silhouette and design are nearly identical. It’s a similar length and has similar gold buttons and pockets. This one, however, is made with 100% cotton.

Target’s cardigan also looks like L'Academie’s by Marianna Valerie Cardigan , which is currently $198 at REVOLVE. It comes in red & ivory which is almost identical to Target’s red and white striped cardigan. It also has gold buttons down the front, along with a similar crew neck and length. It’s made from 60% cotton, 30% nylon and 10% wool.

Compared to its more expensive counterparts, Target’s Women's Lady Cardigan is a good option if you’re going for a very classy look without breaking the bank.
