definitely, there are some rare situations that the parents remain clear; like stolen car keys, or access dangerous weapons without parents notice. the legal system has their ways of dealing with such situations. parents limitation in their ways of disciplining their kids is another factor. like what happened in Texas. an 11 year old girl brought a stranger and she insisted to spend the night at home. the parent considered the safety of the rest of the family, but she was threw to jail. that will encourage some kids to disrespect parents because they may know that whether they are wrong or not, the can stand with them.

If they raised their kids to be responsible, used discipline and accountability for their behavior when young through high school they wouldn’t have to worry. Know who your kids are spending their time with, getting rid of violent videos and games is a good starting place.
