Wichita drivers: another road project starting this week

Beginning this Tuesday, September 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation will close the ramp from northbound I-235 to westbound K-96.

KDOT says the ramp closure is necessary to repair the concrete surface, paint bearings, patch decking and repair joints. The work will occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This section of roadway will be reopened in early October, conditions permitting. Wildcat Construction, of Wichita, is the primary contractor for the roughly $293 thousand project.
