it was a fun movie. enjoyable beginning, middle, and chaotic end. I think 1 of 2 things could have been changed to improve the as-is balance to improve the overall movie. 1. change two things. make it so that Lydia's Fiance was doing the same thing as Beetlejuices late wife. that way there would be more plot relevance to that witch/sacrifice story. Ive always liked that Beetlejuice mixed real life and fantasy in that sort of way.but as the movie stands, the late wife is nothing more than a distraction with a sudden end. she's always looming, and then she finds them and gets eaten immediately. eh. the other change is to change up the detective plot line or remove it. it's given too much time and they never catch Beetlejuice either. the movie would remain largely the same but shorter of the ex wife and cops were removed.2. give 30 more minutes to give those plot lines more time to resolve. the movie reminded me of a series of shorts so I'd want to see each aspect resolve on its own.
