An NFC battle on Sunday Night Football features the Los Angeles Rams and the Detroit Lions squaring off. The Lions finished the 2023 season with a 12-5 record and won the NFC North. Meanwhile, Los Angeles was 10-7 and secured the No. 6 seed in the NFC. Sean McVay has gone 18-14-2 as an underdog in his career, while Dan Campbell is 13-8-1 as the favorite with the Lions.
Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET from Ford Field in Detroit. Los Angeles was able to have a balanced attack last campaign. The Rams ranked 11th in the league in rushing offense (120.3) with 18 touchdowns and 4.3 yards per rush. Running back Kyren Williams knows how to quickly find the open crease and gain positive yards as a ball carrier. He can also be a weapon as a receiver. The Notre Dame product was third in rushing yards (1,144) and tied for seventh in rushing touchdowns (12).
Receiver Cooper Kupp has built the reputation of being a reliable playmaker. Kupp is one of the best route runners in the NFL and McVay finds different ways to get him involved offensively.
