Max DeFore carried 14 times for 82 yards and a score and caught a 32-yard TD pass, Colin Charles caught 11 passes for 159 yards and two TDs and Macklin Hart hauled in three passes for 53 yards and a TD. Drew Rankin paced the defense with seven tackles, followed by Cole Attanasio with six and Aiden Hamilton with five. Cooper Derkach intercepted a pass. Nick DeKiere rushed 14 times for 92 yards, including a 38-yard TD for the Wildcats (0-2, 0-1). Jimmy Cleveland caught three passes for 37 yards. Novi 20, Hartland 7Johnny Aurilia was 10 of 17 passing for 83 yards and a TD and also rushed 12 times for 73 yards for the Wildcats (1-1, 1-0). Christian Gillings tossed a 91-yard TD pass to Jaden Vondrasek, who finished with two catches for 95 yards, while also catching five passes for 38 yards and a score. Sele Cox had three catches for 30 yards. Colin Edwards led the defense with seven tackles (five solo, 1.5 for loss) and a a half sack, Reece Pippin (five solo) and Brendan Lynch (one solo) had six tackles apiece and Cash Warren, Mario Miminllari and Emilio Acosta Casas had five tackles apiece. Lynch also had an interception, while Warren had a half sack. Howell 49, Canton 14Devvin Calhoun was 12 of 16 passing for 114 yards and a TD for the Cobras (1-1, 0-1). Alexander Guadagni rushed five times for 36 yards and a score and had five receptions for 46 yards. Dylan Parrish and Jamari Storie each caught two passes for 31 yards. Brighton 42, Salem 29Luke Creighton was 12 of 35 passing for 356 yards, two TDs and two interceptions and rushed twice for 10 yards for the Rocks (1-1, 0-1). Aidan Moore rushed 17 times for 89 yards, caught four passes for 78 yards, totaled 58 return yards, scored two TDs and had eight tackles. Nye Turner caught two passes for 111 yards and finished with three tackles and one sack. Westland John Glenn 21, Dearborn 17Eron Gibson rushed 21 times for 105 yards and two TDs for the Rockets (1-1, 1-0). Ethan Moore added 45 yards on the ground, followed by Michael Gray with 40. James Phillips led the defense with seven tackles, followed by Jermaine Gumbs with six and Justin Hill and Gray with five apiece. Rainey Matthews intercepted a pass. Livonia Franklin 28, Dearborn Fordson 17Derek Hetu was 10 of 19 passing for 101 yards and three TDs and carried 15 times for 85 yards for the Patriots (1-1, 1-0). Owen Pittenger rushed 25 times for 173 yards and one TD. Mendale Broaden, Pittenger and Jaiden Mabins each caught TD passes. Eric Marsh led the defense with six tackles (one solo), followed by Mabins with five tackles (four solo, four for loss) and two sacks, Ian Snyder (four solo), Dom Walker (one solo) and Aiden Kirby (one solo) with five apiece, Broaden with four (two solo) and Pittenger with three (two solo, one for loss). Livonia Churchill 42, Wayne Memorial 0Ali Taleb was 9 of 13 passing for 276 yards and three TDs for the Chargers (2-0, 1-0). Braylon Hall carried three times for 32 yards and two TDs, while Dre Ellis had eight carries for 28 yards and a score. Emanuel Williams caught five passes for 178 yards and two TDs, and Nate Broglin had two receptions for 73 yards and one TD. Max Schwesing and Collin Fisher led Churchill's defense with five tackles, Lucas Beckham had two tackles, one sack and two interceptions, Aiden Cunningham and Sage Adams each recovered fumbles and Dalvon Wideman intercepted one pass. The Zebras fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the KLAA-East. Belleville 44, Livonia Stevenson 6Tasso Kotsogiannis rushed 24 times for 134 yards and one TD for the Spartans (1-1, 0-1). Collin Gibson carried 11 times for 39 yards, while Blake Zoro, Luke Beri and Trevor Bennett each caught passes. Bennett paced the defense with six tackles, and Nathan Vande Laare added two stops and one interception.<h2>Oakland Activities Association</h2>Birmingham Groves 28, West Bloomfield 13 The Falcons (2-0) got three rushing TDs from Mario Campoy-LoVasco, including one for 52 yards, while Noah Sanders scored from 7 yards out. Birmingham Seaholm 21, Auburn Hills Avondale 7Penn Roberts rushed for TDs of 57 and 44 yards for the Maples (2-0). Alexander Smith ran in a TD from 11 yards out. Farmington 33, Holly 7Antoine Bailey rushed for 200 yards and scored three TDs for the Falcons (2-0). Herschel McCormack-Reamer added 84 yards and two TDs, while Trenton Darden rushed for 53 yards. Ferndale 20, North Farmington 12Justin Cross, Jayvion Damiani and Artero Wilson each had seven tackles for the Raiders (0-2), followed by Dominic Washington, Joel Vann, Alexander Trainer and Leland Pettway with six tackles apiece. Dearborn Divine Child 42, Bloomfield Hills 0The Black Hawks fell to 0-2 overall. <h2>Lakes Valley Conference</h2>Milford 21, South Lyon East 6Caden Johnston-Thompson was 10 of 17 passing for 119 yards and two interceptions and rushed seven times for 66 yards and a score for the Mavericks (2-0, 2-0). Brandon White carried 12 times for 50 yards and a score, while Brady Heggemeyer added nine rushes for 34 yards and Griffin Hudechek had three rushes for 46 yards. Landon Murray caught three passes for 38 yards, while Owen Stark had two receptions for 58 yards. Kaden Johnston led Milford's defense with eight tackles, Ike Stufft and Luke Perkins had seven apiece and Stark chipped in six. Stark returned an interception for a TD, while White and Noah Pike also pulled down interceptions. Dominic Giovannini was 15 of 37 passing for 184 yards, one TD and three interceptions for the Cougars (0-2, 0-2). Jonaven Joseph caught three passes for 66 yards and had a 22-yard TD reception. Joseph and Mark Pennington each intercepted passes. Lapeer 49, White Lake Lakeland 28Trevor Tschudin rushed 13 times for 193 yards and three TDs and caught three passes for 25 yards for the Eagles (1-1, 1-0). Carter Travis was 6 of 13 passing for 45 yards and rushed 13 times for 23 yards and a score. Sam Broome added eight carries for 23 yards. Jack Schneider led the defense with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery, Landon Gacki had seven tackles, Grant Glossinger added seven tackles and an interception, Blake Loisel chipped in six tackles and Blake Zamenski had a fumble recovery. South Lyon 16, Waterford Mott 14 Johnny Michaels totaled nine tackles (two for loss) and two solo sacks for the Lions (2-0, 2-0). Walled Lake Central 28, Walled Lake Northern 7The Vikings improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the league, while the Knights fell to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the LVC. <h2>Western Wayne Athletic Conference</h2>Redford Union 13, Romulus 0Tatum Moore rushed for 65 yards and a TD for the Panthers (1-1, 1-0). Julian Liddell tossed a 25-yard TD pass to Jamel Belcher II. Redford Thurston 19, Dearborn Heights Crestwood 12Troy Clark threw for 118 yards passing and a TD to Jemir Harmon for the Eagles (2-0, 1-0). Jaylyn Strayhorn led with 113 yards rushing, followed by Andrew Dawson with 34 yards and a TD. Ethan Echols caught three passes for 33 yards and two TDs, Nicholas Warren had two catches for 35 yards, Michael Wilcox and Bryce Gilmore each had 15 yards receiving and Harmon finished with two catches for 70 yards and had 34 yards rushing. Ashton Johnson totaled three tackles, one interception and two pass breakups on defense, while Amarion Boatwright had two pass breakups and a pick. Cordail Smith led with six tackles, Rickie Blocker had five, Dawson and Barajas had four apiece and Gilmore and Arnold Tye each had three. Garden City 64, Dearborn Heights Annapolis 20Ethan VanBelle was 5 of 8 passing for 138 yards and three touchdowns for the Cougars (2-0, 1-0). Catching those TDs were Brendan Van Belle (53 yards), Emmanuel James (46) and Nic Emond (4). Aidan Finch rushed for 70 yards and a TD, Emond had a rushing TD and an interception on defense and Noah Stevens was 6 of 6 on extra points. <h2>Catholic League</h2>Detroit Catholic Central 21, Toledo Central Catholic 7Samson Gash caught two passes for 73 yards and a score and rushed twice for 41 yards for the Shamrocks (2-0, 1-0). Jalen Daniels added 10 carries for 58 yards and was 3 of 7 passing for 35 yards. Kayden Williams caught three passes 50 yards. Johnson led the defense with nine tackles (six solo), Daniels had four (one solo), Deryk Klein chipped in four tackles (two solo, three for loss), and Ive Edwards had three solo tackles.
