By the numbers: VCVB stats for July

At the August 22 board meeting of the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau (VCVB), visitor reports for July 2024 were released and are as follows:

• 7 non-riverboat group tour buses;
• 36 Car tours, 106 passengers;
• 18 Regular bus/vans, 154 passengers;
• 18 Riverboat buses, 663 passengers;
• 465 Visitors assisted;
• 3,603 visitors were welcomed at the Visitor Information Center;
• The top state visiting was Mississippi with 1361 visitors. Louisiana was second with 273;
• Total number of international visitors was 87;
• Top country was the United Kingdom with 27 visitors. Norway was second with 11;
• 967 visitors at Vicksburg Information Center ;
• 36,853 visitors at the Vicksburg National Military Park;
• 2,171 visitors at the Lower Mississippi River Museum;
• 1,252 visitors at the Southern Heritage Air Museum;
• 2180 visitors at the Beidenharn Coca-Cola Museum;
• 1,183 visitors at the Old Court House Museum;
• 567 visitors at the Catfish Row Museum;
• 1,661 visitors at the Vicksburg Civil War Museum;
• 1,055 visitors at the Old Depot Museum.
