On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins kicked off their 2024 NFL season with an inner-state battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Just hours before the game, Miami star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was seen being handcuffed just outside Hard Rock Stadium by police. According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington , Hill was only cited for reckless driving and got into a verbal altercation with one of the policemen.

After a de-escalation period, Hill was let go and was able to start in the 1:00 p.m. ET game.

After a rough first half, it only took one play for Hill to get going. With just over two minutes left in the third quarter, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hit Hill for an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the possession, making the score 17-13 in favor of the Jaguars.

Hill chose the perfect touchdown celebration following the police incident a few hours before, as he looked at the fans with his hands behind his back like they were in handcuffs. Jaylen Waddle then came over and pretended to escort Hill away. The celebration is going viral online, already nearing a million views.

NFL fans loved the new celebration from Hill and took to social media to leave their thoughts.

"A better look at Tyreek Hill's handcuff celebration," one fan said.

"The Tyreek Hill handcuffs celebration was a guarantee today"

"Tyreek Hill just hit the handcuff celly after an 80 yard TD"

"The police watching Tyreek Hill handcuff celebration"

"Handcuffs celebration from Tyreek Hill, who cannot be detained by the Jaguars D"

"Tyreek Hill really had Jaylen Waddle pretend to handcuff him after scoring a TD"

Hill, a former Kansas City Chief, is entering his third season with the Dolphins. He was named the No. 1 player in the NFL 100 over the offseason and is expected to have another strong season.
