The Seattle Seahawks offensive line has gotten off to a pretty rough start to the season against the Denver Broncos . This unit was never supposed to be great to begin with, but it's one thing to read it on paper and another to see starting quarterback Geno Smith pressured from the middle, from the edge and everywhere in-between. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb has already had to adapt to a quick-hitter kind of passing game to deal with the pressure that the offensive line just can't seem to deal with right now.

It may get worse before it gets better, because right tackle George Fant was just spotted on the CBS broadcast limping off the field, helped by trainers over to the blue medical tent. A couple minutes later, beat reporters saw him getting escorted to the locker room along with the team doctor.

Fant is of course starting at right tackle in place of former Washington State offensive tackle Abe Lucas , who's begun the season on the PUP list due to the knee injury that kept him out of 11 games last season and had to have offseason surgery on.

Whatever the issue is, Fant's day is over. The team has ruled out Fant for the rest of the game. For now, the next man up at right tackle is Stone Forsythe, but you can bet the Seahawks will be signing another tackle in the coming days, assuming Fant will be out for a while.

On the bright side, the Seahawks' new-look defense under head coach Mike Macdonald is doing its part. The score is tied 3-3 with a minute to go in the first quarter.
