Woman’s body found by car wash on Detroit’s west side, Homicide Unit investigating

DETROIT (WWJ) A woman’s body was discovered near a car wash on Detroit’s west side.

Detroit Police told WWJ the adult woman was found by Classic Car Wash on Grand River at Prevost, near Greenfield, on Sunday (9/8) around 5 a.m. Investigators pronounced her dead at the scene.

She had an unspecified wound, police said.

The woman’s exact age is not known.

Detroit Police Homicide Task Force is investigating.

I used to catch the Grand River bus to work and saw deceased people on two occasions. The first one was in tall weeds. The second one was an elderly man who looked malnourished.
