Dachshunds Splashing in Rain Are So Filled with Child-Like Wonder

Some dogs love the rain like no other, and it shows. One family of eight Dachshunds recently had the best time playing outside in the wet stuff, and they had the time of their lives. Luckily, their mom got it all on camera.

The September 3, 2024 video shared to TikTok by @yunabugs shows the eight Dachshunds living their best lives in a rain-filled, muddy backyard and it looks like so much fun! Take a look!

In the lively video that says, "Rainy day with 8 weens," the pups anticipate the day of fun they're about to have as they wait for Mom to open the sliding door to the back yard. They can't contain their joy while sprinting all around the space, especially when Mom joins in to run with them. The muddy tennis balls are no match for eight happy "Weens."

"They loved it so much, especially Boots," the video says as she refers to the eldest pup having the time of her life taking a mud bath. "We can always mop the house after."

Even as Mom and Dad take a moment to do a dance, the Dachshunds continue barking with elation, chasing each other around and enjoying their time. It's the purest video with dogs doing what dogs do best—teach us how to truly live.

"RIP to everything in the house," reads the caption, and clearly, the group tracked in a tiny bit of mud but at least a good time was had!

These pups have a steady following of fans—6.1 million—who tune in each day to see what the crew is up to. It's no different with this video as many chimed in to give Mom props for showing the pups it's okay to get a little dirty in the name of fun.
