The Los Angeles Chargers versus Las Vegas Raiders matchup got out of hand on Sunday. Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer and Raiders cornerback Jack Jones got into separate scuffles that led to ejections for both players.

Quentin Johnston was tangled up with safety Marcus Epps and cornerback Jack Jones in one of the fights. Johnston and Jones were exchanging shots just outside of the end zone.

Johnston was being grabbed by Jones and Epps just before his teammates walked into the mix to separate the Chargers receiver.

Just outside of that huddled fight, Joshua Palmer pinned one of the Raiders players on the wall and forcibly took off his helmet. Palmer was then stopped by a few Las Vegas players and a few members of the officiating crew.

Following the incident, Joshua Palmer and Jack Jones were ejected.

At this point in the game, the Los Angeles Chargers were leading the Raiders 22-10. L.A. held a strong lead at home with 3:30 left in the contest.

The Chargers ultimately won the divisional matchup in Week 1, 22-10. Their strong fourth-quarter finish, scoring 13 points in the final quarter and outscoring Las Vegas 16-3 in the second half led to a victory for Los Angeles.

Following plays like these in the NFL, the league will review the actions for a potential fine or suspension for the players involved.

Los Angeles' next matchup will be played against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. The Raiders, on the other hand, will face off against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, traveling East in hopes of bouncing back.
