    Just Hours Before Deadline, Dak Prescott Becomes Highest Paid Player in NFL History

    Just ours before the start of the 2024 NFL season, an agreement was finally made between the Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott. The agreement was for a record four-year contract extension to the tune of a whopping $240 million.

    According to ESPN, the deal includes $231 million guaranteed, making him the the highest paid player in the NFL.

    This makes Prescott, a 31-year-old, who played for Mississippi State, the first player to earn $60 million per year.

    Prescott is a three time Pro Bowler who finished second in NFL VMP voting, threw a 36 passing touchdowns last season, making him the first Cowboys signal caller to do so. Additionally, he had 410 completions and 4,516 passing yards.

    The Cowboys will begin their season at the Cleveland Browns this Sunday.

    Jerry Jones is gonna regret giving Dak that kind of money. He's an above average QB. He's barely competent as evidenced by his inability to win even a Wild Card game.
