A lot of things looked dramatically new and different for the Seattle Seahawks today. Their young and fresh-faced head coach on the sidelines, their glorious new/old throwback uniforms, and a defense that dominated fom start to finish for the first time in nine years. However, when they needed to make a play to finish off the Denver Broncos they relied on the guy that's been around the longest.

That would be wide receiver Tyler Lockett , who just played the first game in his 10th season for the franchise. Lockett caught six of seven targets, totaling a team-high 77 yards on a day when nobody else could get into a rhythm catching the ball from starting quarterback Geno Smith . Lockett sealed the deal with this incredibly-difficult one-handed catch on third down that came after the two-minute warning.

That play earned Lockett an unprecedented honor as far as the Seahawks are concerned. While head coach Mike Macdonald earned the official game ball for the performance of his defense, Lockett was gifted a special separate "closer ball" to celebrate his clutch play.

Here's a clip of Lockett talking about it in the locker room after the game.

Lockett's performance pushed him over the 8,000 total receiving yards mark for his career.
