ESPN NFL Analyst would 'think long and hard about Jameis' Winston as Browns QB

After Deshaun Watson 's performance in the Cleveland Browns Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN's Dan Orlovsky tweeted that he "would think long and hard about Jameis."

Orlovsky has already seen enough of Watson to conclude that he should be replaced by Jameis Winston.  It was a bad day at the office for Watson.  To be fair, it was a team loss; offense, defense, and special teams all struggled.

However, if Watson cannot shake off the rust and improve quickly, will the Browns be forced to decide to bench him?  Week 2 at Jacksonville will be a better litmus test for Watson.  He did not play in any preseason games. Watson also had shoulder surgery that curtailed his 2023 so he is coming back from a long layoff.

The Browns have a talented roster.  Collectively, everyone needs to play better than today against Dallas.  In that respect, Watson is not alone.  If Orlovsky is ready to bench him, then he may want to consider the same treatment for other team members and perhaps the coaching staff too.
