Before the 2024 NFL season kicked off, a player survey conducted by ESPN named Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen as the most overrated quarterback in the league. Following the Bills' home opener against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, every player who voted must be eating their words.

The Bills got off to a slow start, Allen's fumble in the first quarter led to a turnover and Buffalo found themselves down 14 points in the first half. However, Allen rebounded big time, leading the Bills to 34-28 victory. He completed 18-of-32 passes for for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

The dual-threat quarterback also recorded two rushing touchdowns, leaping over Cardinals defenders to reach the end zone. After the game, the league announced Allen made NFL history with his exceptional performance.

The league announced that Allen's four career games with at least two touchdown passes and two rushing scores, tied with Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young (four) for the most such games in NFL history.

It's an incredible feat considering Young played in the NFL for 15 seasons, and Allen tied his record in Year 7. However, Young, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005, earned three Super Bowl rings during his career, while a championship still eludes Allen and the Bills franchise in general.

But it's one game at a time. "1-0 is what we're trying to do each week," Allen told reporters after the game. "And we got a short week going to a division rival in Miami, and gotta have a quick turnaround, watch the film on this one, and find a way to turn the page tomorrow and start getting ready for them."

In Week 2, the Bills travel to Florida for an AFC East showdown against the Miami Dolphins  (1-0) on Thursday Night Football. Despite their win over Arizona, the Bills are considered 1.5-point underdogs against Miami.
