Can Knicks Make It to the NBA Finals?

The New York Knicks are clearly in win-now mode, as they have been one of the most active teams in the offseason, making a number of moves.

In a recent article by Dylan Backer of Empire Sports Media , he makes three bold predictions for the Knicks this season. One of the predictions he makes is one that a lot of people are making, and it is that this team can make it all the way to the NBA Finals.

"Saying that a team will reach the finals is perhaps the boldest prediction one could possibly make, but the Knicks have all of the tools to make a run at the league’s biggest stage," Backer writes. "If all of their pieces are clicking at the same time, the Knicks will certainly be one of the favorites this season... and potentially end the title drought that has spanned 51 years."

The Knicks have not been to the NBA Finals since 1999, but this could be the season that streak finally ends.

The main roadblock in their path is the reigning NBA Finals champions, the Boston Celtics. Now that the Knicks have two star defensive wings, they match up a lot better with the Celtics, so they could put up a real fight if the two teams match up in the playoffs.

The Knicks are one of the most historic franchises in the NBA, and they will be looking to win their first title since 1973 this season.
