Mayor Adams Says He Won't Be Distracted By Federal Investigations

Mayor Eric Adams promised to stay focused, even as multiple federal investigations look into the top ranks of city's government.

Some of the mayor's top aides and allies had their homes raided by the FBI last week, while Police Commissioner Edward Caban and several other members of the NYPD had their phones seized as part of a separate investigation. That's led some to call for Caban to resign.

Adams spoke on Sunday at a pair of churches in Brooklyn where he didn't directly address the investigations. However, he promised not to be distracted.

In addition to the federal action taken last week, there's a separate investigation that's reportedly looking at the fundraising efforts of the Adams campaign.
