    Police say 17-year-old girl who went missing in Detroit in August has been recovered

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- There's good news in the case of a 17-year-old girl who went missing on the city's west side last month.

    Kaliyah Lofton-Battles was reported last seen at her home near W. McNichols and Grove St. on Aug 35, after police said she left without permission.

    On Friday, Detroit Police sent an update stating that the teen has been recovered. It's not clear where she'd been, and no additional information was provided.
