    Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash

    BUCKFIELD, Maine — The Oxford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a tragic incident that occurred early Monday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The crash, which took place around 5:30 a.m. at 115 Depot Street in Buckfield, involved a vehicle and a female pedestrian.

    According to a statement released by the sheriff’s office, the woman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Speed and Alcohol Not Suspected

    Authorities have stated that neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

    Despite the severity of the crash, officials have not closed any roads in connection with the accident. Local fire departments from Buckfield and Turner also responded to the scene to assist.
