T.J. Watt had a stellar performance against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but the Pittsburgh Steelers star should have had an even better box score.

Not once, but twice did he see two strip sacks get negated by a penalty.

The first was said to be his fault, yet it was actually an oversight by the officiating crew .

Falcons HC Raheem Morris thought otherwise:

    Watt Offsides by a lot?

"T.J. Watt is that kind of guy," said Falcons HC Raheem Morris. "He's always gonna go out there and cause those kind of problems. You have to give him more credit, just being who he is. He had two sacks today, he jumped offsides early and got one that looked a little scary, but he was way offsides, jumped off pretty clear, but you gotta go out there and maintain him. Can't let him wreck the game, and he was able to wreck it by getting that fumble recovery and getting a couple key sacks there to get those things going."

To be fair, I doubt the officials who told Watt at halftime that they made a mistake said the same to Morris, but regardless, to say he was clearly offsides is rich at best, and frankly seems like a shot to minimize his dominance.

"Yeah, especially when the official says he messed it up after the first half he went in and saw it," Watt told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Sunday when asked about the controversial call.. "Glad to get the get-back. Honestly, more than anything, just happy Steeler Nation came out today, had him on a silent count at home. That's very demoralizing for opposing offenses, and super happy to start the season with a win."

Timing the snap is an art, and one that takes not only physical ability but an immense amount of time in the film room studying your opponent and other offenses in general.

"It just sucks when you study so hard and find a little nugget, a golden nugget, and you get it and it gets taken away from you, Watt said in his postgame presser. "So that was unfortunate, but it's not going to turn you from continuing to study and making those plays and the future adjustments."

No one works at their craft like Watt and if anyone deserves credit, it's him.
