Henrico Police investigating fatal crash on Staples Mill Road

Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police are investigating after a person was killed in a crash on Staples Mill road on Sunday night.

According to police, at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, Henrico Police and Henrico Fire responded to a person that had been hit by a car on Staples Mill Road near Hungary Springs Road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Until the investigation is complete, Westbound Staples Mill Road between Lucas and Hungary Springs will be closed.

In an unrelated incident the same night, a pedestrian was hit and killed along Route 1 in Chesterfield.

Both crashes are under investigation. In both cases, the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
