Ryan Seacrest Teases ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Co-Host Vanna White On ‘Live’ After Kelly Ripa Suggests She Invite Him To Her Girls’ Weekend: “Doesn’t Look Like She’s Into It”

Ryan Seacrest is about to kick off his first season as co-host on Wheel of Fortune alongside Vanna White — but will he be joining in on any of her girls’ weekends any time soon?

The two joined Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, where Ripa mentioned that White grew up in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

“And do you still have that girl group?” Ripa asked. “The girl gang that you get together with.”

White said she does, sharing that she and her friends take an annual “long, fun” weekend trip, a tradition that they have upheld “for decades.”

Ripa then took a moment to vouch for Seacrest’s attendance on a future trip.

“I know that it’s just your inner sanctum, but I always say the only guy I would invite to an all-girls weekend is Ryan,” she explained. “He is so fun. I mean, he will be going to bed at, like, 6 p.m. But the mornings start early, and they’re long, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Seacrest teased, “She doesn’t look like she’s into it.”

Later on in the segment, Ripa asked the “iconic” White what it is like working with a “newcomer” like Seacrest.

“It’s new,” White teased. “It’s awesome. It’s amazing. You know, Pat [Sajak] had a tough job, and Ryan has stepped in, and he makes it look easy, as well. He’s doing a great job. You really are. It’s seamless. You’re so professional.”

Rip also took a moment to praise her former Live co-host as “the greatest.”

“You are very, very good at stepping in and really taking over and making it your own,” she gushed.

Seacrest assured viewers that despite his arrival, the show will remain “the Wheel of Fortune you know and love.”

“It’s the same show, the same sound effects, it’s all that same nostalgia,” he continued. “It’s just me saying, ‘Good evening, here we go.'”
