Burnsville Man Arrested on Felony Charges Following Traffic Stop

George Keith Ligon, 59, of Burnsville, Mississippi was arrested on August 28, 2024.

According to a press release from the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department, Ligon was initially involved in a traffic stop for a switched tag. This stop led to the discovery of possession of drugs and paraphernalia, as well as a firearm.

Ligon's arrest charges were listed as felony possession of methamphetamine enhanced with a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, a switched car tag, and disorderly conduct.

According to the press release, Tishomingo County Judge Seth Adams set the suspect's bond at $5,000.
