Some cats have the strangest interests, whether it's rolling around in catnip or hiding in an empty box. Whatever they're into makes them unique. For a cat named Ella, it's watching TV, and when she's dialed in to a show, you'd better be watching it right along with her, or she'll show her displeasure.

A new clip shows Ella enjoying a good show but is quickly distracted by Mom, who's ruining the whole event by not paying attention to the plot. Check out her sass!

"Watch my cat get mad that I'm not paying attention to the show." Ella is dedicated to seeing her program through. Sitting comfortably on her pink and white plaid chair made just for her, she takes a moment to look at Mom who isn't watching. The cat offers up the most dramatic look of complete annoyance to show Mom, "hey—focus or you won't understand the plot!"

"Why is she like this?" the caption reads.

Of Ella's 793,000 followers, many are thoroughly entertained by this exchange, especially because she's known for being a TV connoisseur.

"How dare you not pay attention to Nanalan!!" one person joked. "She's like 'you best be watching that TV,'" another added. "The pan over to her omg," another shared, to which Ella's mom replied, "She cracks me up. I always know she’s gonna be mad lol"

Ella is serious about her shows. If you're not watching with her, go about your business and leave her be!

Why Some Cats Love Watching TV

Ella's on another level with her TV-watching, but if you've ever noticed your kitty interested in what's on the tube, Dr. Jillian Orlando, DVM, told Vetstreet that some cats are interested in watching TV for a few reasons. Some felines could have a higher prey drive, and because TV shows offer quick movements, cats may be drawn to it to quell their innate need to hunt .

For bored cats, a cartoon or National Geographic show could be a form of enrichment as opposed to looking out of the window—especially if what they're watching has birds chirping or squirrels foraging, which kick that prey drive into action.

And some kitties like Ella seem to just have a special connection with whatever they're seeing on the screen. It could be. a form of self-soothing or to keep themselves entertained.

Whatever the reason, always make sure you're paying attention, or risk getting the side eye treatment!
