The Dallas Cowboys continued to assert their dominance over the Cleveland Browns in their season opener, and secured the Week 1 win by a score of 33-17.

And a featured event? The return of Trevon Diggs. In his first regular-season game since returning from ACL surgery, Diggs intercepted a pass at the Cowboys' 22-yard line, halting a promising Browns drive and reaffirming his presence in the Dallas secondary.

Diggs' interception, his first of the year, came at a semi-pivotal moment in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys already holding a 23-point lead . As the Browns attempted to mount a comeback, driving down to the Dallas 22-yard line, Diggs read quarterback Deshaun Watson's throw perfectly, cutting in front of intended receiver Amari Cooper to snatch the ball out of the air with 9:41 remaining. The play not only showcased Diggs' athleticism and anticipation but also solidified his confidence after a long road back from injury.

Said teammate Jourdan Lewis later on Twitter: "You're a bad MF.''

Earlier in the quarter, Dallas extended its lead to 33-10 with a 46-yard field goal, following a drive that was highlighted by a 12-yard gain from Hunter Luepke and a key catch by Brandin Cooks, who returned to the game after a brief exit for medical evaluation. The Cowboys offense continued to move efficiently downfield, but Diggs' defensive gem stole the show, marking a triumphant return to form for the star cornerback.

Now the Cowboys will turn their attention to New Orleans Saints next week.
