    Angel Reese has shared her plans to undergo surgery after recently revealing that she experienced a “season-ending injury.”

    Angel Reese Reveals Her Injury & Season’s End

    On Saturday, September 7, Reese took to X , formerly known as Twitter, to share a major update with fans. In her tweet, the 22-year-old revealed that she had a “season-ending injury.” However, she was “filled with so much gratitude” for what was to come in her WNBA career while also being thankful she made an “impact” on the league during her rookie year.

    “ You’ll still see me being the biggest cheerleader on the sideline… see you soon!” Reese wrote, concluding her tweet.

    Shortly after Reese’s tweet was shared, the WNBA’s Chicago Sky team confirmed Reese experienced an injury to her wrist on X . Additionally, the team reiterated that she would be out for the rest of this year’s season.

    “After undergoing further medical evaluation after the September 6 game against Los Angeles, Angel Reese has been ruled out for the rest of the 2024 season with a wrist injury, the team announced today. The team will provide medical updates later as needed,” the tweet reads.

    The WNBA Baller Shares The Details About Her Upcoming Surgery

    Recently, the 22-year-old took to Instagram Live and shared an update with fans about how she plans to heal. Reese ultimately revealed that she will be undergoing surgery on Tuesday, September 10.

    “Y’all know I hurt my wrist. I am out for the season — I fell on my hand… and [there] is a small crack on my bone,” she explained.

    Reese added that doctors informed her the risk of not having surgery on her risk could leave her with premature arthritis, a completely shattered bone, or it could even put an end to her basketball career. Furthermore, the 22-year-old explained that she would likely be in a hard cast for four weeks after the surgery and a soft cast for two weeks after that.

    “So, six weeks until I’m back to doing my own thing,” she explained.

    Furthermore, Reese also took the time to address rumors that she “faked” her injury and speculation of her being pregnant.

    6 weeks from the date of surgery and a lengthy explanation of what could happen without having said surgery, but no date WHEN the surgery will take place? I wonder if this surgery is going to interfere with the start of the 3 on 3 league she signed a contract to play in that starts in just a few weeks? Isn't being healthy for her WNBA career more important than risking further injury playing 3 on 3 or even overseas in another league like other players do?
