( NewsNation ) — A witness of the Kentucky shooting on I-75 Saturday has detailed her version of events to NewsNation Live .

Christina DiNoto was traveling from Rochester, New York, to Knoxville, Tennessee, when she heard a loud bang while driving in Kentucky .

DiNoto believes bullets ricocheted off her vehicle and only “divine intervention” stopped her and a friend from being injured or hurt.

“I was traveling in the middle lane, and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, we heard a loud explosion. It was so loud that we both jumped in our seats,” DiNoto said.

Authorities are hunting suspect Joseph Couch , 32, for allegedly shooting five people. Seven individuals are hurt, while police believe Couch is hiding in remote southern Kentucky.

“Initially, it sounded to me like a rock, maybe flew through my back window. So I glanced back, there was no damage to any windows, and my friend Jeremy said that sounded like a gunshot,” DiNoto said

“I’ve been around gunfire before, and that’s what it definitely sounded like. Then a few minutes later, we saw just dozens of police and ambulances flying in the northbound lane on I-75 so we knew that something had happened, but we didn’t know what.

“Then we got to our destination in Knoxville, we got out, and I discovered on my car, on the rim of the tire, there was a huge indent I looked like ricochet from a bullet to me.”

The way things are now reminds me of when they were putting lead in gasoline and many people went nuts. I think some industries must be pumping lead into the air or water again.
