Cameron Christie was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 46th pick in the 2024 draft. The 6-foot-6 rookie guard has shown potential to become a talented all-around player, given his shooting abilities, athleticism, and defensive skills.

In the 2024 Las Vegas Summer League, Cam averaged 11.4 PPG on 40.5% shooting from the 3-point line. If the 19-year-old's hot shooting continues in the upcoming 2024-25 regular season, he could be a valuable addition to the Clippers.

Cam is the second member of the Christie household to make it to the NBA. The first is his elder brother, Max Christie, who plays for cross-town rivals LA Lakers and recently signed a four-year $32M deal.

Rejoicing the milestone moment of his first major NBA contract, Max had suggestions for his younger brother on adjusting to the professional game and fitting alongside superstars like Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.

Siblings play similar styles but different

According to the older brother, the proud siblings share a lot in common regarding their style of play but are distinct in some critical aspects.

"I think we're a little similar," Max revealed in an interview with LakersNation . "I think he (Cam) lives in the mid-range more than I do. I like the mid-range, but that's his bread and butter, his go-to. I think for me, when it comes to offense, 3-point shooting is probably my trademark."

Having the likes of Kawhi Leonard and James Harden gives Cam a chance to learn from all-time greats. His older brother Max, who shares a roster with all-time greats like Lebron James and Anthony Davis, said his rookie brother will need to find the best way to create impact within his limited opportunities.

"(Cam) loves shooting off the bounce and I think for his first few years he's going to have to adjust a bit, being the rookie," the 21-year-old Lakers guard said. " Especially on a Clippers team with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, you have to be able to spot up (because) they're going to have most of the touches."

The Clippers rookie has made it abundantly clear he hopes to learn from the two savants. During his introductory press conference with the media, Cam expressed his desire to soak up as much as possible from his two perennial All-Star teammates.

    "We push each other"

While Cam does not expect to have the ball much in the upcoming season, he can count on his older brother's support.

"He's been around me for a long time, we've worked out together," Max said. "So we push each other and we're both pretty good players. He's going to have a good career ahead of him."

As he is about to start his rookie campaign, it appears Cam Christie has a good support network set up for himself. With mentors like Ty Lue and Jeff Van Gundy on the Clippers' coaching staff, and his brother Max playing across town, Cam has cushions that can soften his landing in the league.
