Man, 53, slashed in throat in random attack in Brooklyn: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 53-year-old man was slashed in the throat in what police believe to be a random attack in Brooklyn on Monday morning.

The victim was walking on Schermerhorn Street in Boerum Hill at around 10:43 a.m. when an unidentified suspect approached from behind and attacked him, according to police.

The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and is expected to survive, cops said.

The suspect fled on foot toward Bond Street.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is ongoing.
