Could a tour or new album be in the works? It’s hard to say, but it looks like Radiohead reunited for “rehearsals” as early as two months ago.

At a Q*A with Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood at the Hay Festival Querétaro yesterday, Greenwood told the audience that each of the members of Radiohead got together to play some tunes about two months ago.

“We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs,” said Greenwood. “And it was really fun, had a really good time.”

Could Radiohead Be Prepping for a Tour?

It would certainly be incredible if Radiohead reunited for an upcoming tour. The “Creep” hitmakers haven’t put on a concert in about six years. It doesn’t look like the band is breaking up or anything of the sort; each member is quite busy with side projects at the moment. However, it also doesn’t look like the band is getting back together anytime soon.

In the Q&A on Sunday, Greenwood clarified his comment about the band getting back together to jam out “just to play the old songs.” Radiohead has indeed reunited; just not to prep for a tour.

“We’re still talking all the time, we just need to make a plan and get some time together sorted out in advance,” Greenwood continued.

Don’t worry, Radiohead diehards. A reunion will definitely eventually happen; it just might not happen very soon, according to Greenwood.

Currently, Greenwood is touring with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds as a sit-in for Martyn Casey. He’s also working on a photo book that follows 14 years of Radiohead on the road.

Frontman Thom York and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood are quite busy as well. Yorke and Greenwood are planning to release another album under their side project The Smile titled Cutouts. It is set to release on October 4. Greenwood made headlines in July after announcing his hospitalization and battle against a serious infection. It looks like he’s recovering well.

Yorke is currently touring on his own, while guitarist Ed O’Brien is currently working on a new solo project. Drummer Philip Selway released a solo album just last year.

Don’t lose hope! We’ll see Radiohead reunited again soon, but that recent jam sesh isn’t an indication of anything other than friends getting together to play music for fun.
