    Furious Best Buy fans slam ‘ridiculous’ return policy and claim time frame is too short – but there’s a way around it

    ANGRY shoppers have slammed Best Buy for its 15-day return policy, claiming the time frame is too short.

    However, the retailer has multiple ways around its two-week refund rule.

    Earlier in the year, Best Buy shook up its return policy by changing its 30-day time frame to just 15 days.

    The new rule has left shoppers fuming as they called the new policy "ridiculous."

    "Best Buy return policy is 15 days?!" questioned one customer on X. "@BestBuy this is ridiculous.

    "They won’t even let me exchange it for a different color. Not shopping here anymore…"

    Another customer complained about the return policy, and they threatened to ditch Best Buy for Walmart.

    "Hey @BestBuy Your 14 day return policy is a joke," they wrote.

    "Buying electronics for college, some don’t fit so I have to buy at college and you give me store credit for 14 days over instead of a refund?? #poorcustomerservice #youlostacustomer #helloWalmartgoodbyeBestBuy."

    Best Buy reached out to the user with a link to send a direct message, however, the customer revealed the link provided didn't work.

    "@bestbuy has to have the worst customer service and return policy I have ever seen," wrote another.

    "$200 ear buds never used returned 18 days after purchase.

    "Nope. If I want a refund, I have to buy a 'service plan.'

    "Best Buy will soon go the way of Circuit City. Good riddance."

    SILVER LINING

    While Best Buy's return policy only allows a 15-day window for a full refund, the retailer has other options that make it easier.

    However, the other options come at a price.

    When the electronics giant changed its refund policy, Best Buy pushed its three-tier membership program as an appealing alternative.

    The My Best Buy basic plan is free, including 15 days for a refund and store credit past the two-week time frame.

    They also have a My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total membership, which offers a 60-day return window on most products, among other benefits.

    Best Buy has a three-tier membership program that gives customers benefits based on the tier they buy. Let's take a look at what each offer:

    The My Best Buy Plus costs a hefty $49.99 a year, while the My Best Buy Total costs $179.99.

    According to customers, paying the extra money goes a long way.

    "My Best Buy total my best investment to date boy i be getting everything replaced," wrote one customer on social media.

    "I stay breaking my phone and Best Buy total is wayyy better than Apple care but they give you apple care on top of it anyway so it’s a win win. Anddd I get all my tvs and gadgets replaced whenever. How can I lose?" wrote another.
