Brett Favre's Prediction for Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets is Turning Heads

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has voiced his strong support and precision for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets ahead of their season opener on Monday night.

Rodgers is making his return from a torn Achilles that he suffered during the first drive of Week 1 last season on Monday Night Football. The Jets will be up against the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers .

Favre, who was the Green Bay Packers ' longtime starter when Rodgers was drafted in 2005, has a close relationship with his former backup. In an interview with TMZ this week, Favre praised Rodgers and the Jets.

"You can say what you want about Aaron, but he’s arguably the greatest playmaker in the game right now," Favre said. "He can turn a difficult situation into something positive. With their defense and Aaron healthy, there’s no reason they can’t compete for an AFC Championship."

During his career, Favre was one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, amassing 71,838 yards and 508 touchdowns. He was a one-time Super Bowl champion, an 11-time Pro Bowler, and a three-time All-Pro.

Rodgers, who succeeded Favre as the Green Bay Packers' quarterback, built upon his mentor's legacy. Like Favre, Rodgers is also a one-time Super Bowl champion and has earned four MVP awards and ten Pro Bowl selections during his career.

Despite being 40 years old and coming off a major injury, Rodgers is set to return on Monday night. With a strong roster around him, he has the potential to be highly competitive in the AFC, and Brett Favre is confident in his ability with the Jets.
