The Las Vegas Raiders have now encountered a growing issue after their Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Yes, the defense showed up, but they had an issue on that side of the ball that continued to show as the game went on.

When speaking of the Raiders and their issues, these days it's strictly about the offense the majority of the time. And, that's still an issue, but the other issue they encountered was the depth on the edge that started to get very thin.

Before the game, a few days prior actually, it was well known that edge rusher Malcolm Koonce, who finished with eight sacks last season, was going to miss Week 1 after a practice incident . He was then placed on IR, meaning he will not be able to play until Week 5, against the Denver Broncos.

So, Tyree Wilson, the second-year edge rusher who was picked seventh overall last season, got the start. He then ended up hurting his knee and left the game. Now, he could be out for an extended period of time, but we aren't quite sure yet how long that will be.

So, the Raiders have to look outside for some help, and they are already on that.

"Tom Telesco [General Manager] is working on that right now," Pierce told the media on Monday.

The Raiders have about $30 million in available cap space, so, really, they can go in whatever direction they want with this.
