Valentina Shevchenko is scheduled to fight the No.1 contender in the Women Flyweight Division known as Alexa Grasso. Shevchenko has fought Grasso before and that fight was something phenomenal. But in the end, Grasso was victorious and won through submission. Shevchenko wants another shot, so they are going to meet in the UFC 306 trilogy and sort out who is the real champion. Shevchenko is looking forward to reclaiming her Flyweight title that she lost in her second encounter against Grasso in UFC 285.

Valentina Shevchenko believes that the second encounter and the results between her and Alex Grasso were a total injustice. Shevchenko made a big claim when she said that the judges made a big mistake while giving her lower points than Grasso and they knew their mistake too. On the other side, if you analyze the win of Grasso, she won by submission which makes everything clearer.

Valentina Shevchenko discussed her loss in the second fight in these words. "But, speaking seriously, you know why we are speaking about the third fight? It’s only because of the second fight — everyone saw the fight, everyone knows, everyone was very surprised because of the mistake and error of a judge, what he did and if it [were not for him], everyone saw that I was the winner of this fight. I did enough to win the fight."

Now 36, Shevchenko has been involved in combat sports for almost her entire life.
