Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Under Fire For 'Trashy' Display At U.S. Open

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce caught some viral attention for their sing-along at the U.S. Open final on Sunday, but now the pair are taking some heat for the display.

With the Kansas City Chiefs enjoying a long weekend off after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL season opener on Thursday night, Swift and Kelce traveled to New York City for a date night and a visit to the U.S. Open. The two were seen sitting together at the men's final on September 8, singing along to the rock song "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness.

As The Daily Mail noted , some thought the display was out of place at a sporting event where fans are expected to maintain a level of decorum. The outlet described the behavior as "trashy" and noted that some expressed their disdain on social media.

"While Swift's die-hard followers and a portion of tennis fans were in awe at her and Kelce's singalong, others took aim at the couple for lacking 'decorum' and putting on a show for the cameras in New York," the report noted.

The pair also caught some attention for their more intimate moments as they shared a hug while watching the men's singles final. Kelce and Swift spent much of the summer apart as she completed the European leg of her Eras Tour and Kelce returned to Kansas City for training camp.
