As one of the NFL's biggest personalities, Aaron Rodgers tends to bask in the spotlight more than many of his big-league peers.

His employers, the Jets, aren't complaining. They've marketed the aging archer greatly during his brief spell in the Big Apple.

Another entity not complaining? Television companies, including ESPN, who have flocked to the venerable signal-caller like bees to nectar over the course of his career.

More primetime contests, particularly those on "Monday Night Football," loom for Rodgers in 2024, assuming he's able to get through the campaign without a scratch. The eyes of the sports world will be fixed on the senior signal-caller, some hoping to see him relive the magic of his youth; others unable to avert their glares as one of the game's most gifted players struggles to compete in an ever-evolving league.

Past performance is a good indicator of future success, and although Rodgers' appearance is eerily similar to that of a nondescript elder statesman, he's been teflon (or pretty damn close) throughout his "Monday Night Football" career.

With that, here's a look at Aaron Rodgers' history in the "Monday Night Football" slot.

Aaron Rodgers' 'Monday Night Football' record

Rodgers has compiled a 13-8 record when standing under center on "Monday Night Football." Three of those performances came in games he played spot minutes in — Rodgers got garbage time snaps in a Packers' 48-3 loss in 2005, attempted three passes in a relief appearance in a 31-9 loss to the Eagles in 2006, and famously suffered a torn Achilles four plays into his first possession as a Jet in 2023.

Removing those three displays from his career, Rodgers has a 12-6 record on Monday night, good for a win percentage of 66.7%.

Not only has the California product won often when the lights are at their brightest, but he's also tended to show out in the process. Across his 21 Monday night matchups, Rodgers recorded totals of 4.936 yards and 38 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions on 68.1 percent passing.

He has a 103.0 passer rating in those 21 contests. That's right in line with his NFL record 103.6 passer rating across his career.

    Stat Total
    Record 13-8
    Comp. % 68.1
    Passing yards 4,936
    Pass TDs 38
    INTs 12
    Yards/attempt 7.7
    Passer rating 103.0

Rodgers is as consistent as they come when it comes to spraying arrows across the field. He's subject to occasional outbursts, however; moments of bliss when it appears as if Rodgers is floating into and out of flow state. His performances on "Monday Night Football" are perhaps the most glaring example of this phenomenon. Rodgers has a handful of iconic "MNF" moments, from his four-touchdown showing against the Vikings in 2011 to a five-touchdown flare-up vs. Kansas City in 2015.

Here are some of Rodgers' more notable displays under the "MNF" banner:

Week 10, 2011: Packers vs. Vikings

Rodgers' quest for his first career MVP was lined with explosive displays. He saved one of his best for a primetime duel with lowly Minnesota back in 2011.

Green Bay demolished the Vikings 45-7 on that brisk autumn night. Rodgers was his usual effervescent self in the pocket, accounting for 250 passing yards and four scores while failing to record a turnover.

It might've not been the gaudiest day for Rodgers in terms of long-ball attempts. He was cold, efficient, and ruthless once he got the chance to air the ball out, however.

Interestingly enough, Rodgers was yet to finish a full "MNF" start with multiple touchdowns and zero interceptions prior to that 2011 contest. He didn't seem too overwhelmed that week, though. It was for good reason, too; Rodgers eventually cruised to his first MVP,  garnering 96 percent of votes in the process.

Week 3, 2015: Packers vs. Chiefs

One of Rodgers' signature performances came in a Week 3 masterclass during the 2015 season. Facing off against a Chiefs side that eventually clinched playoff qualification, Rodgers was faultless, ripping the Eric Berry-led secondary to shreds to the tune of 24-of-35 passing for 333 yards, five touchdowns, and, most importantly, no interceptions.

Green Bay needed every bit of Rodgers' heroics that day. Andy Reid and Alex Smith were in the midst of late-career renaissances, while a grizzly-faced tight end was beginning to emerge as an All-Pro caliber talent in Kansas City. Rodgers effectively kept the likes of Travis Kelce and Jamaal Charles at arm's length. It was reflected in his box score, too; Rodgers posted a 138.5 passer rating that day, his second-highest mark that season.

Rodgers ended the season with 31 touchdowns in 2015. Nearly a sixth of them came on that fateful night in Lambeau.

Week 4, 2020: Packers vs. Falcons

The oddity that was the 2020 NFL season did little to limit Rodgers' effectiveness. In fact, he took his play to new heights, finishing the season with more touchdowns than any other year in his career (48) and just five interceptions. His 70.7 percent completion percentage is the sixth-best single-season mark in NFL history, only bested by Drew Brees (four times) and Sam Bradford.

If there was any single performance that reflected Rodgers' dominance during the COVID-19 season, it was this one. The numbers are eerily similar to those one would expect to see in Madden or ESPN NFL 2K5: 27-of-33 passing, 327 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 147.5 passer rating. The California kid would eventually waltz to his third MVP award.
