*UPDATE: Rams coach Sean McVay has stated that Nacua will go on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least four weeks.

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua's injury status is considered as week-to-week.

During Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions, Nacua aggravated a knee injury that he suffered during a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers this summer. That was originally a ruptured bursa sac, but it is unclear if that's the case this time around. It was believed that Nacua was fully recovered from the injury.

Additional tests will be run on his knee throughout the week, leaving him in the dreaded grey area of week-to-week. It's possible that Nacua misses little to no time, or he could miss multiple weeks. Here's what NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had to say about Nacua's situation on "Good Morning Football:"

“He’s going to have tests this afternoon just to determine what is going on there in his knee,” Rapoport said. “No firm word yet on his status but obviously same knee as training camp, clearly an issue there, clearly in some pain that he was battling through. Wouldn’t be surprised if he misses some time as he figures out and tries to improve this issue.”

Nacua left Suday's game during the second quarter and was quickly ruled out. Losing him for any amount of time would be a huge blow to the Rams' offense. Nacua had a breakout year in 2023, catching 105 passes for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns, stepping up in a huge way as fellow receiver Cooper Kupp missed time with multiple injuries.

When Kupp returned, Nacua still produced at a high level. Nacua and Kupp were expected to be perhaps the best receiving combination in the NFL and a big part of an explosive L.A. offense. As we get wait for some clarity on Nacua's timetable, the Rams will have to prepare as if they'll be without him this week against the Arizona Cardinals
