Simone Biles' Blunt Response to Jonathan Owens' Big Announcement

Safety Jonathan Owens, husband of USA gymnast Simone Biles, made his debut for the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and it couldn't have gone much better.

The Bears defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-17 in the NFL debut of No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams. Despite the win, it was an underwhelming start for the former Heisman trophy winner, only throwing for 93 yards and zero touchdowns. But Owens, while playing mostly on special teams, was able to outscore his quarterback.

With a little over nine minutes remaining in the third quarter, Chicago was able to block a punt by Tennessee's Ryan Stonehouse. Owens scooped up the loose ball and took it 20 yards to the endzone, decreasing the Titans' lead by six.

On Monday, Owens took to Instagram to honor his big day with a post highlighting his touchdown.

"Starting the season off with a bang‼️ BEARS WIN," Owens wrote with a fire emoji.

Biles, who is preparing for her upcoming Gold Over America Tour, continued to show her husband support with two separate comments on his post.

"my mans my mans my mans," Biles said.

"LET’S FKKKNNNNN GO BABY," Biles added in a separate comment with three kiss emojis.

Biles is coming off a strong Summer that saw her win four medals at the 2024 Paris Games, three of which were gold. Her first-place finishes came in the team, all-around and vault finals. She earned silver in the floor exercise.

Owens is on his fourth team in seven seasons since joining the NFL in 2018. He played four seasons of college ball for Missouri Western and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals six years ago. A majority of Owens' career was spent with the Houston Texans from 2019 to 2022. He earned the starting safety spot for Houston in 2022 and started for the majority of the 2023 season with the Green Bay Packers.
