    Loyal Pit Bulls Stand Guard 'For Days' Hoping to Catch Glimpse of New Baby

    A dog's devotion is one of life's greatest gifts. Their bond to their people is pure and without hesitation, even for the smallest members. For Pit Bulls Kota and Norma, it's all in a day's work, as they promise to love and protect the newest member of the family—a baby brother named James.

    A recent video posted to TikTok by @juju_rossi_fan_176 shows the two pups faithfully guarding the door to their new sibling's room and it's too precious. Check them out!

    "Ever since we brought baby James home, the dogs have taken turns outside the bedroom door hoping to see him," the 16-second clip says as the camera moves through the door. As it opens, we see Kota and Norma laying at the barrier before the scene cuts to another view from inside where first Norma peeks her head in, then Kota.

    "Kota & Norma waited patiently for days just to catch a glimpse of the new baby," the caption reads.

    Of the video's 10,000 likes, many of the pups' fans already have a few theories as to why there's such a deep connection the baby James right off the bat.

    "I’m convinced dogs are like this when their people have a baby because the baby smells like a mix of both parents, and it’s the best thing ever to the dogs," one person wrote.

    "Oh my gosh, they’re so sweet and already the best big fur-siblings," another said.

    "Ma'am, that's their baby at this point," another joked.

    In another video , all seven dogs—including Kota and Norma—get to sniff, cradle, and dote on the baby proving just how loyal these sweet Pit Bulls can be. That baby is already so loved, we know Kota and Norma will be loved right back!

    Pit Bulls Breeds Are Highly Affectionate

    There are few breeds that fall under the name "Pit Bull," including American Staffordshire Terriers, Americana Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers (or a mix), and they're all known for developing close bonds with their people. They may get a bad rap at times, but pups like Kota and Norma prove time and time again how deep their love runs for their families. including children.

    PetMD calls these dogs loving, affectionate, loyal, and eager to please. They're extremely intelligent, so with the right training, there's no limit to what they can do as long as they've been properly socialized. They really do love their people! Based on how they've already reacted to a new baby in the house, we have no doubt Kota and Normal will be the best fur siblings James could ever ask for.
