Deion Sanders, true to his distinctive style, responded to a contentious report that claimed he issued a particular directive to the university's marching band during games.

The story, published by Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports over the past weekend, showing that Sanders allegedly made a demand to the university's marching band.

The story, which emerged following the significant defeat to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, claims that Deion instructed the Colorado band not to play the fight song whenever Shedeur scored.

"A year later and the offensive line still doesn’t fight for each other. A year later and the fight song doesn’t even play in the stadium after the quarterback throws a touchdown. Deion Sanders told the band they couldn’t play if his son Shedeur Sanders scores a touchdown so that the loudspeaker can play a recording of his son’s song ‘Perfect Timing,’" Shapiro wrote Saturday night.

The university has since responded to the report, denying that Sanders ever made the request to the marching band.

"This is not true. Nobody ever asked the band to refrain from playing the fight song. After a touchdown, the band plays "Glory, Glory, Colorado" and after a point after touchdown, the band plays "Fight CU," as has been standard practice for years," the university spokesperson said.

Deion Sanders' response to the false marching band report on Instagram.

"When Shedeur Sanders scores, the band will wait a moment for a small sinppet of Shedeur's song to play before immediately kicking into "Glory, Glory, Colorado." This is exactly what happened during the game against North Dakota State."

Sanders eventually responded to the false report, making a subtle tweet on X (formerly Twitter) before being more direct in a story post on Instagram.

"God bless u," Sanders said in the story post.

Despite a 4-8 record in his inaugural season as head coach, the team's offensive promise was clear, challenging adversaries in every match.

This season, however, the Buffaloes have encountered familiar problems, beginning with a 1-1 record. They claimed victory over North Dakota State in the season opener but endured the recent loss to Nebraska.

Now that the dust has settled regarding his connection with the marching band, Sanders and the Buffaloes football team can move on to their upcoming matchup with Colorado State on Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

That’s the whole problem, he didn’t ASK, he ORDERED/DEMANDED. We all know it’s true, he’s just once again blaming someone else for his narcissistic asshole behavior.
