Brian Callahan roasts Titans offense while praising the defense for Week 1

The Tennessee Titans' offense completely fell apart in the second half of the team's demoralizing 24-17 defeat to the Chicago Bears . Nick Holz's unit got shut out in the final 30 minutes of actio that saw two costly turnovers by quarterback Will Levis, with one being a game-winning pick-six by Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.

Tennessee's opening-week offensive output was incredibly uninspiring, but head coach Brian Callahan's comments about the offense during his Monday press conference may have been even more unmotivating.

The first-year head coach started by commending his defense's performance on Sunday but then quickly threw his offensive unit under the bus, stating that if the team had just punted the ball every time on first-and-10, they would've won the game.

"We were playing so good on defense," he said, per Jim Wyatt of the team's official website . "It was almost as if we'd just punted it on first-and-10 every time we might have won the game, the way we gave it away."

Callahan's comments on the offense couldn't be more accurate, as the unit was incompetent for most of the game and did more harm than good.

Tennessee will look to bounce back this Sunday in Week 2, as the two-tone blue head to Nissan Stadium for the home opener to take on Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets .
