The Denny's location at 1025 W Hallandale Beach Blvd in Hallandale, Florida, was cited for nine violations, including two high-priority infractions, during a recent inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. While the restaurant was not forced to close, a follow-up inspection was required to address these concerns.

This is What Happened During The Inspection

In total, the initial inspection on September 5, 2024, identified nine violations, consisting of two high-priority, one intermediate, and six basic infractions.

Thankfully, the subsequent follow-up inspection of the Broward County establishment on September 6, 2024, reported zero violations, indicating significant improvements.

During the initial inspection, two live roaches were spotted, one on a cutting board near the steam table and another behind clean plates.

Additionally, a violation related to temperature control surfaced, with food items, such as sliced cheese and turkey, exceeding the safe holding temperature of 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notably, the inspector's note revealed that these items were promptly moved to the walk-in cooler for corrective action.

An intermediate violation highlighted the absence of proof regarding required employee training in food safety.

Basic violations included dead roaches found on the premises, an employee lacking a beard guard during food preparation, and unclean conditions, such as a soiled wall and uncontained ice cream.

This Denny's in Hallandale holds a respectable 3.9-star rating based on 3,137 reviews, suggesting a strong local following despite the recent setbacks.

The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation reminds patrons that each inspection is a snapshot of conditions at that time.

      • Roach activity
      • Time/temperature control violation for cold food
    • Intermediate:
      • Missing employee training documentation
    • Basic:
