Fenerbahce Agree Loan Deal To Sign Filip Kostic From Juventus

Fenerbahce has reached a loan agreement with Juventus to sign winger Filip Kostic. The Turkish club announced on Sunday that they have come to a preliminary agreement with both Filip Kostic and Juventus for the transfer. Kostic has been invited to Istanbul for medical examinations and final discussions to complete the deal. If all goes as planned, Kostic will join Fenerbahce for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

The 31-year-old winger joined Juventus from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2022, making 87 appearances for the Italian club, where he recorded three goals and 15 assists. However, his difficulty in securing a regular starting position has led to this temporary move to Fenerbahce. Filip Kostic, known for his versatility on the left wing, started his professional career in Serbia with Radnicki Kragujevac before moving to Dutch club Groningen in 2012.

He later made a name for himself in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart, Hamburg, and Frankfurt, where he played a pivotal role in their 2021-22 Europa League victory. The Serbian international, who has earned 64 caps, has represented his country in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, as well as in the European Championship earlier this summer.

Kostic, who is under contract until 2026, received interest from Premier League and Saudi Arabian clubs during the final days of the European transfer window, but he rejected all those offers.
